Meeting 19th June 09
This was perhaps our biggest and busiest meeting to date. As part of the meeting we said some hellos to 3 new members and also to some visitors from Nottingham and Southwell diocese who are looking at setting up their own Youth Council. We also said some goodbyes though as this was the last meeting for 6 of the youth council members who are moving on to University or Gap Years next year. So it was hello to Ruth, April and Jess and goodbye to Lizzie, Katy, India, Heather, Hanpag and Kat.
At the meeting we took time to review the Prayer Fast event, we talked to the new Diocesan Child Protection Adviser, heard reports back from CEYC and Bishop’s Council and most importantly voted for our new chair, vice chair secretary a representatives. After much discussion, votes, counting and re-votes we agreed! So well done to Tom our new chair, Andrew and Lauren our new vice chairs, Becky our new secretary, Beth and Leah our CEYC reps and Izzie and Tim our Peak Centre reps.
As it was the last meeting (and Izzie’s birthday) we enjoyed lots of pizza and pasta and had a beautiful cake. Photos from the meeting are in the gallery.
